17th Pick: Broderick Jones

Offensive Tackle, Georgia

6’5, 311 lbs

One of the top offensive tackles in this year’s draft class, Broderick Jones can step right in and be a day one starter. Protecting Kenny Pickett has been a clear goal this offseason and this move would secure Pickett’s blindside for years to come.

32nd Pick: Jack Campbell

Inside Linebacker, Iowa

6’5, 249 lbs

Jack Campbell uses his size and downhill speed well when stopping the run, an area the Steelers have needed significant improvement in for the last several seasons. He’s also able to hold his own in coverage and has a high football IQ. Overall, he’s a physical playmaking field general.

49th Pick: Clark Phillips III

Cornerback, Utah

5’9, 184 lbs

Clark Phillips was one of the most productive cornerbacks in college football in 2022. He had 6 interceptions and 2 touchdowns to go along with them. The biggest knock on him is his size, but he plays much larger than his height. Phillips would be a solid slot option in the NFL and can also slide to the outside.

80th Pick: Luke Wypler

Center, Ohio State

6’3, 303 lbs

The Steelers need some solid depth at center and Luke Wypler would be exactly that. Mason Cole was fine in his first year with the Steelers but it’s more than likely the team will look to move on from him after this season. Wypler offers decent size and has the potential to be a future starter.

120th Pick: Parker Washington

Wide Receiver, Penn State

5’10, 204 lbs

The Penn State product has decent size and projects as a slot receiver in the NFL. The Steelers want to see what they have in Calvin Austin III and they should, but Parker Washington would bring depth and a little more size to the slot posistion.

234th Pick: Troy Brown

Inside Linebacker, Ole Miss

6’1, 220 lbs

Troy Brown would be a depth piece for the Steelers to round out their inside linebacker room. He only played one season of college ball (2022) but he was all over the place in coverage for Ole Miss.

241st Pick: Lonnie Phelps Jr.

Edge Rusher, Kansas

6’2, 244lbs

Lonnie Phelps Jr. could give the Steelers some depth at outside linebacker, especially if the much anticipated signing of Bud Dupree falls through.
